Project survey, on-site consults & Analysis
Each site is inspected for its layout and how it functions. In-depth consults will help to conduct all the necessary requirements of the project before any design work is done. This information is then gathered and analyzed for design conceptualization.
On-site consults are carried throughout the entire construction and installation phase to ensure continuous progress at all times.
Design Conceptualisation & Development
The design concept can start with anything from an idea, a piece of artwork, or even a blank page. The client may have an idea of what they want, but not be able to articulate themselves well enough. It is up to our design team to gather any information or notes on what the client communicates during the consult. All information is necessary to create Mood Boards and the overall look and feel of the space. Once all important elements have been noted and researched, it becomes easier to know how and when to execute a design brief as best as possible.
Project & Material Specifications & Documentation
Once all designs have been approved and signed off by clients, all design details need to be documented and draughted for the contractors and subcontractors to carry out their work according to all design specifications. Project specifications include all working drawings which specify where all electrical & plumbing fit-outs are to be allocated on-site, where different materials and finishes are applied and specific details of how they should be applied. Material specification documents indicate where all material is procured, and where and how it is installed on-site.
Material Suppliers, Contractor & sub-contractor Procurement
Reputation is everything, and long term relationships benefit both client and service provider over time. Contractor & sub-contractors are generally non-negotiable, as it is our responsibility to provide the client with nothing but peace of mind, that they receive what they have paid for. Material is continuously changing and evolving, but the base material suppliers are carefully selected to receive consistency on the product at all times.
Budgeting & Payments
Due to our continuously growing relationships with suppliers and contractors, all budgeting will be conducted by us on behalf of the client. A detailed quote and budget plan are drawn up for clients for major payments. We will be responsible for all payments to suppliers and contractors to ensure all budgets are kept to. The client will be given specific payment schedules to ensure the progress of construction and installation is kept up to hand-over date.
Project Management & Quality Control
One of our key selling points is attention to detail and the deliverance thereof. All finished have to go through a quality check process after each installation. Clients, contractors & sub-contractors are given strict guidelines an deadlines of the construction and installation process, and routine quality checks will be maintained at each stage of the installation process.
All finishes, ie: flooring, wall finishes, plumbing & electrical fixtures, all cabinetry and fixed details are to go through quality control before any contractor or sub-contractor is excused from sight. All furniture is checked before and after arrival on-site to ensure that nothing is at fault.
Construction, shopfitting fit-outs & Installations
At this stage, all contractors and sub-contractors are familiar with the project scope and are aware of all deadlines for all construction stages. All required materials should be allocated accordingly, all plumbing and electrical points are to set out so that everyone can work simultaneously on-site. All will work will be inspected and go through thorough quality control checks according to our design standards.
All contractors and sub-contractors are responsible for their own rubble removal. We are responsible to ensure that the site is clean at all times. All logistics related to furniture varies according to the supplier but will be arranged by us to ensure that no additional logistic costs are incurred.
Furniture, accessories procurement & styling
At the end of all fixed installations, clients are welcomed to their home for the very last time, to do a routine but final quality check of everything fitted in the space. They will already have an overall idea of furniture and accessory choices and will need that to carry them until the final handover date. A full styling job is conducted until every last hanger is hung, and every room has had a scent and colour therapy consult. A fully inclusive handover is arranged at the clients best convenience to walk them through their new home where all they’ll need is to move right in with no luggage.
